How to make a remote more effective

In the heat of a recession, when most people are spending more time at home instead of out and about, you might find you are in the same situation I have found myself in. Why is it remotes have sooo many buttons, are they really necessary? Probably not! So here is someone else's attempt to fix the problem. You would think that with the way technology is going since the birth of the ipod and its minimalistic following someone would have sorted this by now!

You definitely don't need that many buttons. But the bigger question is, do you need your tv?

That very much depends on whether you a visual person or not, people who are need constant stimulus, so i can understand the need for a TV in that sense, although, the same could be said for whether or not we need to blog or not!!

Yes, television programmes such as The Hills and 90210 are visually stimulating, albeit not quite as mentally so.
Or as Joey so cleverly said in one Friends episode:
"You don't have TV? What does all your furniture point at?"
